Moving to Los Angeles on Thursday (and a free track)
I’m off to enjoy my last weekend living in San Francisco.
I’m moving to an amazing new home in Los Angeles next week. It’s truly been a blessing to live up here in San Francisco these past 5 years. So much has happened.
During this time I created my other (but equally important) music persona: Welder, my LLC and label Ancestor, released music on Ninja Tune, Warp Records, Planet Mu, started collaborating with Amon Tobin, remixed Bibio, + Spor, + The Glitch Mob, + STS9, + Bonobo, + released a music video that has just hit 1 million views, released another that has just hit 600K, traveled to countries all over Europe, traveled to many of the states in the US, throughout Canada, worked tireless hours in my first proper studio away from the homestead and too much more to mention.
More importantly I’ve gotten to know some truly amazing people and find the time to work on developing myself and how I interact with the world professionally and personally. I’ve been lucky enough explore some of the most amazing landscapes I have ever seen. Nothing has influenced my music more these past 5 years (aside from falling in an out of love) then the Redwood groves in Northern California. The reason my music has started to sound like a “robotic tree” is solely due to these humbling towers. In southern California I hope to find equally amazing people and it’s own inspiring landscapes.
Here is a free track fully inspired by landscapes and amphibians i just gave out the other day.

Thanks for everything,
Good luck to you on your move to LA. It’s going to be a great time in your life.
Bye, Eskmo! Thank you for blessing this city with your presence.
welcome to LA! When you want to get out of the grid, there are some incredible wild areas that rise out of the base of the san gabriel mountains where LA just stops to the north, above the pasadena area. Some of them not much traveled and just at the end of the city. Different than the redwoods, but incredible in other ways and less crowded than the coast. You may know all this, but don’t hesitate to hit me up for some spots if you want. Your music has been inspring to me, I’d be happy help return the favor if I could.
Welcome to town, mate. I can imagine it’s hard leaving San Fran, one of the coolest places in the country. If you get lost and lonely (which many do upon arrival), drop by our little shop for coffee and conversation, we’re on Hlwd. Blvd. Drop a line and I’ll send you the deets. Best of luck!
I like it. good luck in LA
